DD-214 is the paper that says you're done serving. Aaron's says Air Force enlisted, then Army Infantry officer, then years as a DoD project manager and technologist at SPAWAR — now NIWC Atlantic — in Charleston. But the DD-214 doesn't capture mess hall conversations at 0500, deployment birthdays, or the particular silence of coming home to a civilian world that moved on without you. These tracks do.
